a little over a year ago…i had the absolute pleasure of meeting the fabulous garance dore…if you have not heard of her…i highly recommend looking her up…and following her blog…she is a no nonsense gal…who really enjoys life…and shares it with her followers…
the book signing was held at the club monaco in san francisco…my girlfriend and i met there…and proceeded to stand in a long long line…that barely moved…but i was ok with that…i was chit chatting with my girlfriend…we were chatting it up with those around us…and of course…the way the line was set up…once you got in the store (which took a while…the line was completely outside the boutique) we were able to view all the lovely items at the club monaco…a win win in my book…
by the time i got close enough to see her…i understood why the line was not moving…because in perfect graceful garance dore mode…she was truly taking time to talk to each individual…making each person that came out to see her…feel important…and by that…she just won me over again…
when it was my turn…we chit chatted about what i did for a living…i of course had to tell her how much i enjoyed reading her blog…and following her…and that she was just so relatable to many women…
of course i had to get my book signed…i mean that is part of the whole book signing experience…right?
and the book…”well…in a word…it is delightful…do pick it up if you haven’t already…garance dore spills useful tibits on love, style & life…in only a way that she can…graceful, honest & real…
you just can’t get better than that…
