the other day i pulled out one of my favorite “fashion” movies…“the devil wears prada”…i have to say…one of my favorite parts in the movie…is when andrea…played by the lovely anne hathaway…decides that she needs that transformation if she is to get…what she wants…
now…let me preface this by saying…majority of us…ok…pretty much all of us…don’t have the luxury of walking into a massive closet housed in a world wide magazine office…and be able to pull clothes at ease…let alone with the likes of designer names like chanel, manolo blahnik and so on…
but…it got me thinking about the transformation…and how many of us…may not be where we want to be…whether it be the dream job…the boyfriend…the _______________ (insert whatever that “it” thing is that you are hoping…or waiting…or working towards…)
while we may see what that “it” is…those that we meet along the way…will first notice it in our dress…whether we like it or not…so what is your dress saying about you? is it saying that you are ready for that promotion? is it saying that you are someone worth meeting? is it saying that you have it together…and look the part of taking someone’s business and delivering?
perhaps you are at a point in your life…where nothing is changing…everything is stagnant…whether you are looking for a new career…a love life…or even something that you are unsure of…you just know that things need to change…perhaps a new look…or a transformation is all that you need to take you to that new place…
the thing is…this transformation does not need to be drastic…or for that matter..expensive…it could start with a new haircut…or new glasses…updating your makeup…or adding a few new pieces to your wardrobe…
