what to do to your winter wardrobe before packing it away…

a tune up is a regularly scheduled preventative maintenance for a car…or in this example…your closet! regular tune ups are essential in keeping your closet in tip top shape…while we are transitioning from winter to spring…there are several things that should be done to your winter wear…

before packing away your winter items…here are some things to take care…

– inspect your boots and winter shoes…if repairs are needed…take them to the shoe repair to have them fixed…that way…they will be ready to wear when fall rolls in…

– clean your wool sweaters, jackets, scarves & gloves…check for moth holes…if there is too much damage…get rid of them now…why pack them up? if repairable & you love it, take care of it this month before storing it away…

– coats need to be checked for missing or broken buttons & soiled or scuffed sleeves…before being put away for the season…do it now, not later…

the key is to have everything ready to wear when fall/winter comes around again…why pack things up when they are not in tip top shape?  you will be glad you did when you unpack it all come fall…
