are you stuck in a rut?

let’s face it…change can be overwhelming…and it is very easy to come up with creative ways to procrastinate and remain in a rut…maybe you have used used some of the same excuses listed below? while we can give ourselves all the reasons in the world as to why we can’t move forward…i have seen countless women ask for help…when it came to their “meaningless” closets and wardrobes…getting out of that rut…is a phone call away…

so i thought i would share the many reasons i have heard as to why someone may be stuck in a rut…and the answer…

reason #1 – i’ll do something about my neglected wardrobe once I’ve lost ____ pounds…

response – you can feel confident at any size…clothes that fit you well make you look great…someone (me) with a professional eye can make you look ten pounds thinner by next week…

reason #2 – my husband (friends, family etc.) would think i was crazy to pay someone to help me get dressed…

response – you shouldn’t expect yourself to know everything about clothes or keep up with the constant change in fashion…there are professionals that keep up with those subjects…they can help you out! feeling good about how you look will only enhance your life, create ease and maybe even enrich your marriage…

reason #3 – the money i spend on myself could be spent on a mini vacation, a watch for my husband, a new “used” car for my daughter (fill in the blank)…

response – you’re a member of your family, too…many women put their needs last and that’s not being a good role model…take your turn and invest in yourself…

reason #4 – i’m old…it doesn’t matter what i wear…

response – there’s no age cut off when it comes to looking like the best version of you…the older you get, the more benefits you can reap from dressing with expression and grace…a professional consultant can teach you how to do that and it won’t cost a fortune…

reason #5 – i should be able to do this by myself…what’s wrong with me?

response – it’s not your fault that you don’t know how to do this…there’s an art and a science to dressing well…you could spend the next twenty years figuring it out or use your time in another way and leave this subject to professionals…it’s smart to ask for help…

reason #6 – i’d be too embarrassed to have someone see inside my closet…

response – while a friend or family member might raise an eyebrow at the condition of your closet, a professional wardrobe consultant is only interested in helping you move away from the problem and into the solution…

reason #7 – i already spend too much money on clothes…i don’t need to hire someone to tell me to spend more…

response – a consultant is not interested in having you spend more money…she is interested in helping you make the most of your investment…any next purchases will be wise ones with her help…by working with a professional, you could end up saving hundreds of dollars…

reason #8 – why pay a consultant when the big department stores provide personal shopping services?

response – the bottom line for sales associates is sales—the more the better…a professional consultant is invested in you and making your wardrobe work for you…she will come to understand your lifestyle and your needs and keep you focused…

reason #9 – my friend is stylish…i’ll just get her to help me…

response – image professionals know how to dress individuals of every size, shape, and style personality…friends want to be helpful but are limited by their own style and preferences…

reason #10 – why bother? i’ll leave styling to the fashionistas…that’s not who i am…i’m good at other things…

response – your appearance transmits information to others whether you like it or not…it’s better to be in control of that information and decide how you want to be perceived…an image consultant can help you achieve the results you want…

so…are you ready to get out of your rut? it just might be the best money spent…and saved…
