do you have that piece of jewelry that almost becomes your go-to piece for most outfits? it could be a statement piece…or a simple string of pearls…whatever that piece is…it helps you in many ways…which i will get to in a bit…
but first…a back story on my go-to piece that i purchased back in 2016…as many of you know…i do my favorite picks every year for the nordstrom anniversary sale…and back in 2016…there was a necklace that really stood out to me…and as i say every year…if you see something you like…buy it quick…because items sell out…
well…there were many who were eyeing that same necklace…but didn’t purchase right away…and as predicted…it sold out pretty quick…and there was regret…so much so…that when i wear this piece…i still get the “ugh…i should have bought it!”…i’ve had several offers to buy it off my neck…but as of yet…i haven’t been able to let go of this piece…
so i had some fun looking through my instagram pics to be able to show you my go-to jewelry piece…thought i would share them with you…if for anything…just to see my hair style through the years…there were some SHORT cuts i forgot about…and even my “i need to have bangs” phase…
my necklace purchased back in 2016 was an argento vivo – i have a few pieces from this brand…a nice mid-point price range and good quality…and as you can see…it really goes with pretty much everything i wear…
so why have a go-to jewelry piece?
while there is nothing that says you need to have a go-to…there are reasons that you should…
first…it just makes dressing easier…when you know you have that piece that works with many oufits…it is one thing less to think about while getting dressed…and who doesn’t want that?
second…it can become your brand, your style, what you are known for…that piece that helps in creating your personal style…when i wear mine…people recognize that and many times comment on how it goes with so much…obviously…my outfits are changing…the common denominator is my go-to jewelry piece…
for many years (prior to 2016) my go-to jewelry piece used to be a big cocktail ring…i wore that every single day…it was my signature piece for a long long time…your piece could be a ring…a pair of earrings…a specific watch…
so…as you can see…i’ve had different pieces as my go-to jewelry piece…and sometimes it is more than one…but i felt it was time to add a new one…and i looked for quite a while…and finally found it…yep…in this years nordstrom anniversary picks…
i thought this allsaints chain necklace was prefect to add to my jewelry picks…as well as a new go-to jewelry piece…it adds a fun element…an edgy element…and a romantic element…all in one! i also found some fun new rings that i think will become my every day go-to jewelry pieces as well…
