for those of you that follow me on social media…it comes as no surprise my love for a well made officer jacket…the one that is featured today…is probably one of my favorite purchases on a trip to italy in 2017…
while i currently have an officer jacket in olive green…you can click here to see how i styled it 3 ways…i am still on the look out for an officer jacket in red…but i digress…
while this officer jacket can easily be thrown over an all black outfit…and yes, i wear it like that often…i think it brings out the gold trim & buttons…i don’t add much as far as accessories…none are really needed…but, for this day…i added a pop of gold around my neck…
many don’t consider to wear an officer jacket to an evening event…but my thought is…why not? just add sparkle!
i, of course kept my accessories to a minimum…because the star piece was the sparkle…surrounded by the toughness of the officer jacket…
my favorite combination, thus far…has been adding in a quirky silk blouse…that i also got in italy…same trip…i always like to pair unexpected pieces together…and i have to say…when i bought these two pieces…initially, i was not thinking of them together…but somehow it worked out…

the officer jacket can obviously be thrown over a tee & jeans…and i wear it that way as well…but i’m a firm believer in clothing being fun…so take a piece from your closet…and start looking at different items that would go well with it…after all fashion should be fun…
