sneak(er) attack…

a sneaker at one time of my life was strictly reserved for working out…it was never considered a part of my wardrobe…in any shape or form…but then something magical happened…the shoe designers started making some beautiful sneakers…cute enough to pair with my outfits…my world changed…

now don’t get me wrong…i am and always will love my shoes…pointy, round, mid heel, high heel, blocked heel…i’ve got them all…and they all serve a purpose in my wardrobe…

but…

those days where i am on my feet all day long…whether working with clients…shopping for them, or hanging out with friends…but knowing that there will be a lot of walking involved…i swayed over to the sneaker world…but not just any ole sneaker…ones with a little bit of personality…

for example…these beauties went with me for a day at the winery…i was comfortable…although i was wearing sneakers…i felt like my outfit was complete…

there is a story about these beauties…how a weekend with colleagues turned into a mad search for them…click here to read about it…and i have to say…they are definitely conversation starters…

my sneakers have also accompanied me to the farmers market…

and on most of my vacations…

and they all wait patiently…to be the next ones picked for an outing…

so fall is coming…and just as in your wardrobe…your sneakers should work their way into a fall color scheme…i thought i would give you some fabulous choices that are currently in stores…

while this blush color is most apparent in the spring…the fall season will still have this color…in many fall variations…think leather, velvet etc…i was drawn to this particular one because of the blush color combined with the studs…love the hard & soft combination…
michael kors – keaton sneaker

this is one of my go to colors for fall…this burgundy is just gorgeous…and i love the beautiful ribbon tie that it comes with… paul green – ribbon sneaker

my other go to fall color…this beautiful hunter green…love the simplicity of this sneaker…and of course…the quilted detail gives it that extra punch… steve madden – ecentrcq quilted sneaker

need i say more?  leather and studs…and adding a bow to it adds the little bit of feminine touch that is unexpected…and how many times do i say…black & white…always classic… rebecca minkoff – stacey studded platform sneaker

had to throw in at least one animal print…after all…it is a neutral for me…and why not have some fun with your sneaker choices? topshop – tucker leopard sneaker

florals are still around…even in the fall…just think about darker muted colors and you will be good to go… rebecca minkoff – bleecker floral embroidered sneaker

so how about it?  is this something you would incorporate into your wardrobe?  have you already?  the choices are endless…truly something for everyone…and why wear your basic white sneakers (nothing wrong with it) when you can add some fun prints and/or color…

thanks for reading…

till next time…stay stylish!
