spring/summer 2019 trend: tie dye

i have had a lot of clients and friends asking me my opinion on tie dye…while i think it is fabulous…i will also say…if it isn’t your thing…that is ok…just that a trend is out there…it doesn’t mean you need to go out and implement that said trend into your wardrobe…

tie dye…brings me back to the days when i would be in the kitchen…equipped with piles of rubberbands…and t-shirts…i loved the process of making my own tie dye t-shirts…blending the colors…and waiting to see how the designs turned out…now while that worked for me then…i am older…and my style has changed throughout the years…but i do love tie dye…

my version of tie dye now…

i found this tunic mid december a few years back…what caught my eye first was the green…but on further inspection…i loved that it was a tie dye print…and one i knew i could wear in the summer months…

now…there are 2 things to notice in my last paragraph…i picked it up because i loved the color and print…i had no idea tie dye was going to be one of the trends in spring/summer 2019…which is what i always try to emphasize to my clients…buy what you love…not what trends dictate…in the end…i believe it works out…

but for those wanting to incorporate tie dye into their wardrobe…and feeling the tug of…i’m older…how do i wear it now? here are some great options…

for those wanting to dabble in a trend…especially a “print” trend…i say start with a simple scarf…i’ve got some examples here in my tie dye catalog

while perusing current tie dye pieces…i came across some favorites…that i think would also transition into fall nicely…

and do share in the comments below…is tie dye something you want to incorporate into your wardrobe? is it a “been there done that” trend for you?

let me know if there is a trend you would like me to cover…fall/winter trends are already making an appearance…but i am still in summer mode…

till next time…stay stylish!
